The type of personal information we collect
We currently collect and process the following information:
- Personal identifiers and contact details
- Address and electoral boundary information
- Marketing analytics information on which campaign you signed up through
- Data relating to where you are in the process of registering to vote
How we get the personal information and why we have it
Most of the personal information we process is provided to us directly by you for one of the following reasons:
- To support you in completing the process of registering to vote
- To inform you of upcoming elections in your area so you have the necessary information to exercise your right to vote
- To encourage and support you in helping your friends, family and colleagues to register
- We may use some of your personal information to participate in Facebook’s Custom Audience and Lookalike Audience programs, which enable us to display adverts to existing supporters when they visit Facebook, or to others who share existing supporters’ interests.
- We may provide your email address to Facebook so they can determine whether you are a registered account holder with them. Our adverts may then appear when you access Facebook.
- Some of your data is sent in an encrypted format that is deleted by Facebook (a) if it does not match with a Facebook account or (b) after they confirm you are a registered account holder. Under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), the lawful bases we rely on for processing this information are your consent. You are able to remove your consent at any time. You can do this by contacting us contact@justregister.org.uk

Your right to object to processing – You have the the right to object to the processing of your personal information in certain circumstances.
Your right to data portability – You have the right to ask that we transfer the personal information you gave us to another organisation, or to you, in certain circumstances.
You are not required to pay any charge for exercising your rights. If you make a request, we have one month to respond to you.
